Cloud-based IT security services enable technically and economically flexible ways to protect IT infrastructures from IT-based attacks. Hence, such so called "Security as a Service" applications potentially solve existing problems in the context of highly flexible business processes. In cooperation with the German Federal Association for Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media (BITKOM) we conducted a survey regarding the adoption of such systems.
